This one-day course follows Dr. McGill's new book co-authored with champion powerlifter Brian Carroll, which tells the story of his massive back injury and the process of his recovery—against the odds—to return to the winners’ podium. 

The course covers the injury process so common in many strength athletes, together with the rules of recovery. Brian and Stuart will then coach you through their strength lifts and training hacks to rebuild strength and resilience. The seminar will then close with a summary of Brain's knowledge on nutrition, recovery, and weight cuts as a professional athlete. 
 The course includes lecture sessions interspersed with hands-on clinical workshops.

Dr. Stuart M. McGill
Dr. Stuart M. McGill was a professor of spine biomechanics at the University of Waterloo (Waterloo, ON, Canada) for 32 years. He continues as a consultant where his advice is often sought by governments, corporations, legal experts and elite athletes and teams from around the world. Difficult back cases are regularly referred to him for consultation.
Brian Carroll
Brian Carroll is a world-class powerlifter with over a decade of elite, world class lifting under his belt. Coming back from a devastating back injury in 2009 that broke multiple bones and compiled with years of destructive mistreatment to his body, most experts said he would never recover. Nonetheless, Brian returned to the pinnacle of world-class lifting, while successfully becoming 100% pain and symptom-free. He is now dedicated to helping others avoid the same mistakes that he made through seminars, speaking engagements, courses and private and group coaching.
